Job summary

Freedom Preparatory Academy Charter Schools seeks Special Education teachers for Kindergarten through Fifth Grade across its Birmingham campuses. You will implement inclusive instruction, develop mastery through assessments, and collaborate with a team to align curricula across subject areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
• Uses detailed data analysis of student performance to inform best practices.
• Creates and maintains positive community by assisting with student arrivals/departures and transitions.
• Maintains a log of all students on IEPs and 504s and follows mandated timelines.
• Reviews and follows intake assessments of new students through RTI and develops IEP recommendations.
