Job summary

Great Hearts Louisiana - Harveston is seeking a Special Education Instructional Assistant K-5 to support students in both general education and resource classrooms. The role collaborates closely with certified Special Education teachers and General Education teachers to implement individualized instruction and accommodations.

You will help with behavior support, academic tasks, and classroom routines in a campus setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher required.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Educational Aide certification I/II/III preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support in small groups or 1:1.
• Assist students with assignments, homework, and projects.
• Adapt materials and provide modifications to aid learning.
• Help students understand and follow classroom rules.
• Monitor and support safe, positive student interactions.
• Assist with transitions and activities; support mobility as needed.
• Provide clerical support for the ESS Team.
