Job summary

Teton County School District #1 seeks long-term substitute teachers for K-5 across its elementary schools in Jackson, WY. Substitutes will provide weekly coverage at Colter, Wilson, Munger Mountain, Alta, Moran, and Kelly elementary schools, with the schedule shown for each contract period.

You will work as a four-person team to cover mornings and afternoons while teachers attend professional development, using pre-written lesson plans and ensuring a safe, productive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a WY Substitute Teacher Permit issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board.
• A standard Teaching License is acceptable with a K-6 Elementary Endorsement.
• Experience with elementary age students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute pre-written lesson plans and deliver daily instruction across K-5.
• Maintain a safe, positive learning environment and supervise students.
• Adapt to rotating assignments across multiple elementary schools and grades.
• Communicate student progress and needs with the classroom teacher.
• Follow district safety protocols and report incidents as required.
