Job summary

Buncombe County Schools is seeking an Interim Elementary (K-5) Classroom Teacher at West Buncombe Elementary School to join the district’s licensed elementary program.

The teacher will deliver district-approved curriculum, document student progress and outcomes, address individual educational needs, and create a flexible, safe learning environment while communicating with parents and administration about goals and progress.

Qualifications

• 18 semester hours of relevant coursework
• 2.7 GPA (undergraduate or postgraduate)
• Official degree dated transcript from an accredited university
• Former Lateral Entry license candidates are eligible to apply

Responsibilities

• Facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum
• Document teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes
• Address specific educational needs of individual students
