BASIS Tucson Primary is seeking an ELL Teacher to join our bright, passionate team. You will deliver SEI/ELL instruction and advocate for the needs of English Language Learners across K-5 classrooms.

Responsibilities include planning with teachers, providing language-focused interventions, and engaging with families during conferences. Competitive benefits apply with fingerprint clearance required.

Qualifications

• Structured English Immersion (SEI), Bilingual Education (BLE) or Structured English Immersion (ESL) endorsement.
• Master's in Education or higher is preferred; combination with undergrad in subject area plus Master's acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SEI/ELL instruction integrating language with subject matter.
• Advocate for the academic and personal/social needs of English Language Learners.
• Support teachers in implementing programming, best practices, and recommendations for ELLs.
• Provide intervention support during Literacy and STEM times in K-5 classrooms.
• Plan with K-5 teachers to design and implement engaging instruction that leads to English language fluency in all content areas.
• Attend weekly planning sessions with classroom teachers to plan lessons, projects, and expeditions.
• Identify students who require English Language support and determine level of services.
• Attend parent-teacher conferences as needed in support of ELLs.
