One City Schools in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking an Elementary Lead Teacher for a full-time role guiding K-5 scholars through EL Education-inspired, project-based learning. You’ll design units, assess progress, and partner with families to build a nurturing, rigorous classroom culture.

Ideal candidates hold a Wisconsin Educator license or licensure pathway, a bachelor’s in Elementary Education, at least 3 years of urban teaching experience, and a commitment to equity and inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field is required.
• Valid Wisconsin Educators License or licensure pathway is required.
• Minimum 3 years teaching experience, urban and diverse populations preferred.
• Experience with EL Education or project-based learning preferred.
• Commitment to working with diverse racial/cultural populations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute innovative units of study aligned with State Standards and EL Education curriculum.
• Design lesson plans promoting critical thinking and character development across math, science, and social studies.
• Use authentic formative and summative assessments to gauge learning and provide timely feedback.
• Implement MTSS to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with families and community partners to strengthen programs.
• Engage in ongoing curriculum reviews and professional development.
