Job summary

RCMA Wimauma Community Academy in Wimauma, FL is seeking a Teacher Aide to support instructional activities in a dual language program (50:50 English/Spanish) for K-5. Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 60 College credit hours or have passed the Parapro test as required by Chapter 231.02 Florida Statutes.
• 1–3 years of experience working in an educational setting is preferred.
• Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree is preferred.
• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safeguards the health and safety of all scholars.
• Supports and works collaboratively with teachers so scholars may achieve academically across language, literacy, math, social studies, science, arts, and physical development.
• Assists scholars in developing cognitive, social, emotional, and psychomotor skills appropriate to age, grade, and ability.
• Establishes good rapport with scholars and parents and communicates progress effectively to facilitate two-way communication.
• Maintains classroom routines and supports after-school activities; sets behavior standards and addresses issues using available resources.
• Maintains weekly/monthly paperwork related to School Readiness and supports parent meetings.
• Works in a team to share resources and strategies for optimal student outcomes.
