Job summary

Movement Schools seeks a K-5 Adapted Curriculum Teacher in Georgia to design and lead instruction for scholars with significant cognitive disabilities. You will align lessons to the Georgia standards (Extended Content) and the GAA 2.0 track, partnering with families and related-service providers to ensure meaningful, measurable growth.

You will supervise paraprofessionals, support school-wide operations, and maintain compliant IEPs while upholding Movement Schools’ mission and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or Adapted Curriculum from an accredited college/university.
• GaPSC certification or eligibility via Pathway 1–4 (GaTAPP).
• Passing score on GACE Special Education Adapted Curriculum or willingness to obtain.
• Passing score on GACE Ethics for Teachers Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-aligned K-5 instruction aligned to Georgia Standards of Excellence Extended Content Standards (GAA 2.0).
• Design individualized instruction to build communication, functional academics, independence, and life skills.
• Develop and monitor IEPs including goals, accommodations, and progress reporting.
