Job summary

BASIS Phoenix Primary is seeking a Support Specialist to enhance student success in grades 4 and 5 through academic monitoring and interventions. The role involves collaboration with instructional staff to ensure effective academic support.

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree, relevant experience, and strong communication and organization skills. The position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including medical and dental insurance, PTO, and 401k with partial match.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a school setting preferred.
• Experience in supporting student academics or learning support.
• Strong judgment and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitors student academic performance including grades and missing assignments.
• Meet regularly with students to provide academic coaching.
• Teaches study skills and time-management skills.
• Supports targeted academic interventions for grades 4 and 5.

Skills

Strong belief in BASIS Ed model

Knowledge of academic intervention strategies

Strong relationship-building skills

Excellent communication skills

Ability to analyze academic data

Education

Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
