Job summary

Tapestry Charter School is seeking a K-4 Speech Pathologist to provide full-time speech and language services for the 2025-26 school year. The role focuses on evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students with speech and language disorders within whole-group and small-group settings.

Responsibilities include delivering mandated services, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and maintaining thorough documentation while supporting students across grade levels.

Qualifications

• Professional licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (State of NY preferred).
• Experience with students who have disabilities and diverse needs.
• Knowledge of federal and state mandates for special education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver services per Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Participate on educational/clinical teams for students.
• Coordinate intervention with multiple service providers and settings.
• Assess daily language development, including students with autism or developmental delays.
• Develop and monitor augmentative communication and assistive technology supports.
• Maintain required documentation and case histories.
• Communicate with families and school staff regarding progress and plans.
