Job summary

Waypoint Academy in Dripping Springs, Texas, is hiring a full-time Reading Guide to support K-3 students with AI-powered learning goals and literacy interventions.

You will spend about 90% of the day guiding students and addressing reading gaps, with ~10% spent on targeted structured-literacy interventions. Relocation support may be available; salary is $100,000 USD per year, paid weekly, with day-one health, dental, and vision benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have recognized structured-literacy training or a master's degree in reading or literacy.
• At least three years working directly with children ages 4-9.
• Experience teaching reading to K-3 students within the last five years.
• Willingness to work in person at Waypoint Academy in Dripping Springs, TX and relocate if needed.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coach K-3 students through AI-powered core learning, holding daily goals as non-negotiable.
• Build a full-day student experience with routines, workshops, transitions, lunch, and recess.
• Use data and observations to identify specific phonics or decoding gaps.
• Deliver 15–20 minute structured-literacy interventions for small groups.
• Collaborate with the campus team and adapt to changing schedules and student needs.
