Waypoint Academy in Dripping Springs, Texas, seeks a full-time Early Literacy Specialist to guide K–3 students through AI-powered learning and targeted literacy interventions. This in-person role requires a strong reading background, a relevant degree, and a willingness to relocate if needed.

The position emphasizes daily goals, student motivation, and collaboration with a campus team to adapt to scheduling and student needs throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any subject.
• At least three years working directly with children ages 4–9 in teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, or similar settings.
• At least two years teaching reading to K–3 students within the last five years.
• Completed recognized structured-literacy training or coursework; master's degree in reading instruction/literacy also qualifies.

Responsibilities

• Guide K–3 students through AI-powered core learning with daily goals.
• Build relationships and run a full-day student experience (launch, life-skills, transitions, lunch, recess).
• Use app data and diagnostics to identify phonics/decoding gaps.
• Design and deliver 15–20 minute structured-literacy interventions for small groups.
• Collaborate with campus team and adapt to changing schedules and needs.
