Job summary

Alpha is hiring teachers (guides) to reimagine what a teacher can be and to coach K-3 students to reach ambitious weekly goals using adaptive learning technology.

The role blends on-site coaching with live life-skills workshops, focusing on confidence, resilience, focus, and communication. You will mentor students, track progress with analytics, and guide them to believe they can achieve more than they thought possible.

Qualifications

• Willing to work on-site at Alpha campuses.
• Bachelor's degree in any subject.
• At least 3 years of experience working directly with children ages 4-9.
• Experience leading group activities for young children with engagement strategies.
• Proven ability to motivate children to achieve challenging goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging life-skills workshops that help K-3 students master communication, focus, feedback, and other durable skills.
• Coach students one-on-one and in small groups, using analytics and strong relationships to keep progress.
• Assess life-skill mastery using Alpha's framework, coaching students until understanding is demonstrated.
• Adapt coaching style to developmental needs of the cohort, using varied methods to engage.
• Build relationships where students feel supported to stretch toward ambitious goals.
