Job summary

School Lane Charter School seeks a Specialized Learning Support Teacher for Grades K-3 at the Elementary/Middle campus in Bensalem, PA. This full-time role focuses on planning, instruction, and assessments aligned with SLCS curriculum within an inclusion-based framework.

The candidate will collaborate with teachers to implement differentiated instruction, develop IEPs, and advocate for students’ needs, ensuring progress is communicated to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Valid Pennsylvania Department of Education certification (Special Education N-8 or N-12) or other applicable certification.
• Inclusive learning practices and collaboration.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google.

Responsibilities

• Plan, instruction, activities and assessments aligned with the SLCS curriculum.
• Implement an integrated instructional program that supports inclusion-based learning.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to address diverse learning styles and student needs.
• Develop, monitor, and report on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) per guidelines.
• Differentiate instruction, accommodations, and modifications within IEP components.
• Advocate for students to meet educational and developmental needs.
• Evaluate student performance and communicate progress with staff and administration.
• Identify students at academic or behavioral risk with classroom teachers.
