Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; M.Ed. in Special Education with certification in Moderate Special Needs for K-12.
• Teaching Certification/Statement of Eligibility/DOE Waiver required.
• 1 year teaching in a school setting or 3+ years of related experience.
• First Aid/CPR and Physical Restraint trainings required or available annually.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Cover letter and a recent resume required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements unit and lesson plans aligned to students’ IEP goals and objectives.
• Uses CCSS Curriculum Frameworks to guide instruction by grade level and learning style.
• Collaborates with the classroom team to implement behavior management plans.
• Fosters positive self-esteem and social growth through appropriate curriculums.
• Monitors and maintains data on IEP goals and progress.
• Writes IEPs and Quarterly Progress Reports.
