Qualifications

• DESE administrator/director/supervisor certification required or in progress.
• Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Special Education Teacher license plus SEI endorsement; licensed SPED staff preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate Educational Support Professionals.
• Collaborate with Principals/Directors on Special Education staffing and hiring.
• Serve as Chairperson for all Team meetings.
• Oversee referral processes, Team meetings, and IEP adherence per regulations.
• Ensure all timelines and paperwork meet mandated requirements.
• Ensure appropriate provision of services for students with IEPs.
• Assist with distribution and supervision of paraprofessionals.
• Coordinate communications about extra-curricular supports as per IEPs.
• Schedule and assign paraprofessionals per student IEPs.
• Participate in bi-monthly staff meetings and coordinate PD.
• Ensure compliance with DESE standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Superintendent/Director.
