Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher by working with individual students or small groups.
• Help devise strategies to reinforce material and skills.
• Guide independent study, enrichment and remedial work.
• Check notebooks, correct papers, supervise tests and makeup work.
• Assist with large group activities such as reading aloud.
• Notify the regular teacher of concerns and communicate with the classroom teacher.
• Maintain confidentiality and high ethical standards.
