Job summary

Landis Elementary School seeks a Kinder to 2nd grade teacher to plan and present instruction, creating engaging learning environments that support student growth. The role reports to the Principal and collaborates with teacher assistants to maximize instructional time.

Starting March 2, 2026, the teacher will implement lesson plans, monitor student progress, and maintain classroom procedures to ensure an orderly, productive environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in education or related area qualifying for licensure by NC DPI.
• Ability to manage classroom time and student behavior effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and present instruction and learning environments.
• Manage instructional time and student behavior in class.
• Present lessons with clear objectives and appropriate pace.
• Monitor student performance and provide feedback.
• Facilitate instruction aligned to school goals and curricular standards.
• Collaborate with assistants and staff as needed.
