Job summary

Pottsgrove School District in West Pottsgrove Elementary seeks an Elementary Autistic Support Special Education Teacher for grades K-2. The teacher develops curriculum, delivers instruction, co‑teaches, manages casework and collaborates with families and staff to support student growth.

The ideal candidate holds an elementary Special Education certificate and a PA teaching credential, with experience with autism.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Special Education Teaching Certificate.
• Experience working with students with Autism.
• Active PA elementary teaching certificate.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with the principal, subject supervisors and other staff to develop an integrated educational program.
• Assess student progress and plan effective teaching and learning.
• Provide differentiated instruction for groups and individuals.
• Implement IEPs and serve as case manager for IDEA/IEP students.
• Maintain lesson plans and progress records; coordinate with guardians and families.
