Job summary

Lake Villa School District #41 is seeking a K–1 Cross-Categorical Special Education Teacher to provide specialized instruction in line with IEPs and state standards. You will support students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth through individualized plans and monitored progress.

The role reports to the Principal and Assistant Principal, with responsibilities including collaboration with staff and families to implement evidence-based interventions in a supportive classroom

Qualifications

• Illinois Professional Educator License with LBS1 endorsement required.
• Experience with IEPs and inclusive practices preferred.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE: The K–1 Cross-Categorical Special Education Teacher provides specialized instruction aligned with students' IEPs and Illinois Learning Standards. The teacher supports students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth through individualized instruction, progress monitoring, collaboration with staff and families, and implementation of evidence-based interventions in a supportive learning environment.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 182 Days. Salary to be established by the Board of Education.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Building Principal and/or Dean in accordance with provisions of Board policy.

Payroll Schedule: Distributed over 26 periods, every other Friday
