Job summary

Illinois School District U-46 seeks a Cross Categorical Teacher to deliver individualized instruction in a co-teaching setting aligned with IEP goals.

You will collaborate with classroom teachers, manage diagnostic data, and ensure timely completion of IEP paperwork while supporting students with diverse needs within the district curriculum.

Qualifications

• Illinois Teaching Certificate with LBS1 endorsement.
• Bachelor's degree in related subject from accredited university.
• Previous experience in Special Education preferred but not required.
• Bilingual-Spanish/English Certification (Required for bilingual positions).

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction in a co-teaching environment as mandated by a student's IEP.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan instruction and accelerate student progress.
• Develop diagnostic components and enter data into district data systems.
• Attend School Service Team and IEP meetings and complete required paperwork.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning profiles and state standards.
• Monitor caseload for annual reviews and re-evaluations.
• Implement PBIS, Functional Behavior Plans, and Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Maintain ongoing communication with parents and participate in professional learning communities.
• Administer district, building, and state assessments as required.

Function / Position Summary
