Qualifications

• NH Teaching Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Tutors students for all grades K-12.
• Consults with students, teachers, parents, counselors, and school administration to identify academic needs and to develop individualized tutoring plans.
• Administers and scores assessments to understand achievement levels, learning styles, and tendencies.
• Reviews class content or standards; discusses content with student; re-teaches as needed.
• Assists students with homework; creates extra practice materials and aids.
• Teaches and mentors students toward comprehension of subjects.
• Models studying, note-taking, and test-taking skills and strategies.
• Researches and recommends supplemental textbooks, computer games or apps, equipment, or other learning materials to enrich success.
• Assesses student progress and provides a productive tutoring environment.
