Job summary

Kaleidoscope Charter School is seeking a Substitute Classroom Teacher for grades K-12 on an as-needed basis. The role supports student growth through curriculum delivery and progress documentation while maintaining a flexible learning environment.

The position requires Minnesota state substitute certification, a valid driver's license or ability to provide transportation, and a bachelor's degree in education or a related field. Orientation days in August accompany the start date.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current teaching methods and pedagogy.
• Knowledge of curriculum and concepts across subjects.
• Knowledge of applicable education laws (federal/state).
• Ability to use computer networks and software as needed.
• Ability to organize and coordinate work.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Ability to establish cooperative working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Maintains a safe, conducive learning environment for individuals and groups.
• Translates lesson plans into engaging learning experiences.
• Teaches all required subjects per grade level as assigned.
• Keeps accurate records of student activities, achievement and attendance.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned by the principal.
