Job summary

Kaleidoscope Charter School in Minnesota invites a Classroom Substitute Teacher to support grades K-12. Schedule is 7:00 a.m.

to 2:30 p.m., as needed, plus staff orientation days in August (or on hire), at a daily rate of $180. Under the principal’s supervision, the substitute will implement district-approved curricula, document student progress, and help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment while providing feedback to students, parents and administration.

Qualifications

• Must hold Minnesota State Certification as a substitute teacher.
• Driver's license or reliable transportation.
• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer curriculum consistent with district goals and objectives.
• Promote a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to learning.
• Develop lesson plans and translate plans into learning experiences.
• Teach required subjects as assigned to the grade level.
• Organize and maintain records for student activities, achievement and attendance.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and administrators.
