Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher to serve students from kindergarten through 12th grade in the Phoenix area. The teacher will provide quality services and contribute to program planning in collaboration with general education staff.

The role emphasizes teamwork, planning, and consultative support to ensure effective instructional programs and student progress aligned with district requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students kindergarten through grade 12.
• Collaborate with general education staff on planning and implementation of student programs.
• Participate in planning and consultation with general education staff for student programs including special instruction and tutorial assistance

Education
