Job summary

New Horizons Regional Education Center CENTER FOR AUTISM - YMS in Yorktown, Virginia seeks a Special Education Program Coordinator to oversee the instructional program and support services for a K-12 regional day school serving students with Autism, Emotional Disabilities and/or Intellectual Disabilities. This is an 11-month position.

The coordinator supervises teachers, aides and staff, chairs IEP/EC meetings as needed, and collaborates with the Director and central office to implement

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• Virginia Postgraduate Professional License required.
• License in Education Supervision and Administration K-12 required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the instructional program and support services for the K-12 regional day school.
• Chairs IEP and EC meetings as needed and provides policy advice to the Director.
• Develop and supervise staff development plans and assess curriculum and instructional practice.
