Capitol Region Education Council in East Hartford seeks a Long-Term Substitute School Social Worker for the John J. Allison Jr. Polaris Center's Clinical Day School, serving K-12 students with social-emotional needs.

Qualifications

• Requires MSW and CT certification as a School Social Worker.
• Minimum two years of educational or clinical experience with behavior-disordered children/adolescents.
• Eligible MSW candidates may qualify under CT educator licensing criteria.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic evaluations and contribute to treatment/intervention planning.
• Provide individual and group therapy and crisis intervention.
• Assist with case management, PPT reports, and MDT collaboration.
• Act as liaison with DCF, courts, probation, and community providers.
• Monitor progress of IEP goals with multidisciplinary team.
