Job summary

Yorkville CUSD 115 is seeking a School Security Officer (SSO) for the 2026-2027 school year. The SSO will provide safety and security services for the campus, protect students, staff, and visitors, and perform routine patrols during and after school hours.

The role requires successful completion of training, collaboration with district and local law enforcement, and ongoing participation in training and firearms qualifications. Weekend/holiday shifts and confidentiality are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Standard high school diploma or GED.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Familiarity with school policies and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide security for locations/facilities and identify safety concerns.
• Collaborate with district staff, police, and sheriff for school safety.
• Report and document incidents promptly and professionally.
