Job summary

Charlton County Board of Education seeks a School Psychologist (K–12) to support students, teachers, and families by promoting positive self-esteem and resilience and by proposing methods to address psychological or mental health challenges.

The role involves assessments, counseling, and collaboration with administrators and staff to optimize learning outcomes and ensure compliant services for students with special needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education discipline applicable to assignment and Georgia School Psychology certificate.
• Knowledge of child psychology principles, assessments and behavior modification techniques.
• Experience with data information systems and providing action plans based on data.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic examinations to support learning goals.
• Provide individual, group, or facilitative therapy for students as needed.
• Assist with identification and placement of students with special needs.
• Attend IEP meetings and coordinate with staff and parents on plans.
