Job summary

District Wide in Afton, Wyoming, seeks a Substitute School Nurse to support student health services within Lincoln County School District #2.

The ideal candidate holds a Wyoming RN license and has experience in school nursing or healthcare settings, with the ability to assess and manage acute illnesses and injuries while maintaining confidentiality and communicating effectively with students, staff and families. The role reports to building administration.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a current license to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in Wyoming.
• Experience as a school nurse or nurse in a health care setting; experience with children and adolescents is desired.
• Must demonstrate ability to assess and manage acute illnesses and injuries; maintain confidentiality; and interact well with students K-12 and staff.
• Collaborate positively with administration, staff, parents, and students.

Responsibilities

• Act under the general direction of the building principal.
• Perform duties required by school nurses to meet state statutes and district policy for student health care.
• Collaborate with administration, staff, parents, and students to maintain a safe health environment.
