Qualifications

• MA in School Counseling is required.
• Iowa School Counselor License with appropriate endorsements for K-12 scope is required.
• Iowa Teaching License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling, academic planning, and graduation support for virtual learners.
• Monitor engagement, attendance, and course completion in virtual settings.
• Develop individualized intervention plans for students at risk of falling behind.
• Deliver school counseling core curriculum and planned group activities.
• Provide individual and small-group counseling for short-term goals and mental health needs.
• Assist students with academic planning, goal setting, and graduation requirements.
• Coordinate college, career, and pathways planning, including FAFSA and scholarships.
• Serve as 504 Coordinator and manage accommodations across programs.
• Collaborate with families and staff to remove barriers to learning.
• Support recruitment and enrollment for City View and FSVA.
