Hawaiʻi State Department of Education seeks qualified teachers in Hawaii. The minimum requirement for teachers, librarians, or counselors is a Bachelor's Degree.

If the Teacher Education Program is not complete at hire, you have up to 3 years to obtain a Hawaii teaching license and must enroll in a program to continue employment. Upon hire, a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification is a Bachelor's Degree for teacher, librarian or counselor positions.
• If not yet completed a Teacher's Education Program, up to 3 years to obtain Hawaii teaching license.
• Must enroll in a program to continue employment with the Department.
• Upon hire you need a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit.
