Job summary

Hawaiʻi State Department of Education is seeking candidates for teaching, librarian, or counselor roles with a minimum requirement of a Bachelor's Degree. If not yet licensed, new hires have up to 3 years to obtain a Hawaii teaching license and must enroll in an approved program to continue employment.

• Bachelor's degree is the minimum qualification to apply for a teacher, librarian or counselor position (except CTE roles).
• If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, you have up to 3 years to obtain a Hawaii teaching license.
• You must enroll in a program to continue employment with the Department.
• Upon hire you will need a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit.
