Job summary

Cross Country Education is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist to support K–12 students in Tavares, FL, helping them achieve mobility, functional goals and educational participation. You will assess and treat students, set therapy goals, document progress, and collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

A DPT and active Florida PT license are required, with NPTE and background check completed.

Qualifications

• DPT degree required and active Florida PT license.
• NPTE completed and background check cleared.
• Experience with pediatric or school-aged children preferred.

Position Overview

• Provide physical therapy services to K–12 students, including assessment, treatment, and development of individualized therapy goals.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to support students’ mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and functional independence.
• Collaborate with educators, school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student needs and educational goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, progress, and required compliance records.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
• Active Florida Physical Therapist (PT) License
• Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
• Completion of a criminal record and background check
• Experience working with pediatric or school-aged children preferred
