Job summary

Delta-T Group North Jersey, Inc. is seeking Teacher Aides/Paraprofessionals in the Newark area for the 2026-27 school year. Compensation ranges from $18 to $24 per hour with required state certifications. The role runs on a 8:00-3:00 schedule, Monday through Friday, in a temporary capacity.

Responsibilities include keeping students on task, following IEPs, assisting with transitions, and performing duties as assigned by the client. Background checks and DOE fingerprinting are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Sub certification required.
• Experience with children in school setting K-12.
• Some college credits preferred.
• Ability to satisfactorily complete and pass given background checks.
• TB Screening.
• Fingerprints with the Department of Education Required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure student remains on task academically.
• Ensure student progresses according to what's outlined in the student's IEP.
• Assist student(s) with transitioning from class to class during the school day.
• Perform other professional duties, as requested.
