Job summary

Delta-T Group North Jersey, Inc. is seeking 1:1 Paraprofessionals/Health Aides to service schools in the Manhattan area. The temporary positions run during the school year with hours typically 8:00 a.m.

to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and compensation up to $23.70 per hour. Responsibilities include maintaining classroom routines, keeping order for effective learning, cooperating with school personnel, and safeguarding confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Available to work during school hours.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• School-based experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain NYC Department of Education fingerprints.
• Reliable transportation.
• Health Aide or Paraprofessional certification or letter of recommondation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain established routines and procedures of the school and classroom.
• Establish and maintain order in the classroom for effective learning.
• Cooperate with school personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information concerning students, staff or parent/guardian in public settings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
