Job summary

Mathnasium in Blaine, MN is seeking a Part-time Instructor to help K-12 students understand and excel in math. You will create a engaging learning environment and tailor instruction to individual needs, with opportunities for advancement.

The role welcomes high school students, college students, and professionals with interest in STEM to join a flexible schedule from 1 to 5 days per week, with after-school hours 3-8pm and Saturday mornings.

Qualifications

• Strong aptitude for math and a passion for STEM.
• High energy and a positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels.
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Make learning math fun for students.
• Find joy helping K-12 students to improve their understanding of math.
• Embrace the use and application of technology to facilitate custom, individualized learning plans.
• Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere for parents & students.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support that encourages professional growth.
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure the success of all students.
• Flexibility in learning a different style of teaching in order to best support students.
