Job summary

Meteor Education in Oakland, CA seeks an experienced Interior Designer to support the Southwest Studio with furniture layouts and design solutions for learning environments. You will create 2D drawings, 3D renderings, and furniture specs that align with Meteor Design Principles and ADA/Life Safety standards.

The role requires 3–5+ years in design, a degree in Interior Design, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or CET plus Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Interior Design is required.
• 3–5+ years of experience in the interior design field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or CET and Microsoft Suite.
• Live in geographical area of job posting.

Responsibilities

• Attend project programming meetings with client, salesperson and educational specialist.
• Develop conceptual design solutions and present visuals (2D drawings, 3D renderings, furniture specs).
• Specify furniture finishes and items within design/quoting software with multiple manufacturers.
• Work within budget, timelines, and coordinate with Studio team for installation docs.
