Job summary

Calcasieu Parish School Board C&I - VOCATIONAL in Lake Charles, LA seeks a Computer Service Technician with a strong background in hardware repair and IT support. An Associate degree in IT or related field is preferred, with 3+ years of relevant experience and industry certifications encouraged.

The role requires diagnosing, repairing, installing, configuring, and maintaining desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and related equipment.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Repair, or related field preferred; equivalent education, training, and experience considered.
Minimum 3 years of experience in computer hardware repair, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support.
Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Dell, HP, Lenovo or other relevant technology certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, tablets, printers and related equipment.
Must be able to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with school stakeholders, district personnel, vendors, state and federal agencies, and the general public.
Travel district-wide as required and possess a valid Louisiana driver’s license.
