Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Intervention Specialist to support special education students in a Columbus, OH school setting. The position is contract, full-time, with a 37.50-hour workweek and an hourly pay rate of $55.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree, state teaching certification, and preferred endorsements (LBS1). You will collaborate with a Special Education Program Administrator and general education staff to deliver quality instruction and programs for K-12 students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or statute regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• The Special Education Teacher provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12.
• Works with the Special Education Program Administrator and general education staff to plan and implement student programs, including special instruction, tutorials and consultations.
• Collaborates with education teams to support student success and compliant instructional strategies.
