Job summary

Qualifications

• Masters degree in History/Social Sciences from an approved program.
• Virginia endorsement as History/Social Sciences Instructional Specialist (or eligibility).
• At least three years of full-time teaching experience in a public school with History/Social Sciences focus.
• Professional development leadership experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers for co-planning and coaching to improve History/Social Sciences outcomes.
• Assist in unpacking Virginia SOLs and aligning objectives with district resources.
• Analyze formative/summative data to plan targeted interventions.
• Provide professional development and model research-based instructional strategies in History/Social Sciences.
• Serve as liaison among teachers, intervention staff, and administrators.
