Job summary

Chartwells K-12 is hiring for a full-time Food Unit Lead at Greenwood Charter Academy in Greenwood, SC. The role oversees food-service staff to create an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff and visitors.

Primary duties include supervising meal preparation, ensuring safety and sanitation, planning menus, and managing cash and reports. On-site work with regular interviews and a Monday–Friday schedule, with hourly pay between $20.00 and $25.00.

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory and food service experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Oversees preparation and service of food per standards of presentation, sanitation, safety and portions.
• Helps plan menus and ensures timely meal service.
• Supervises serving of meals and maintains service flow.
• Responds to customer complaints in person and via email for electronic complaints.
• Trains employees and assigns work to promote efficiency and excellence.
• Determines work procedures, schedules, and expedit es workflow.
• Completes daily/weekly/monthly reports (inventory, cash, payroll, timekeeping).
• Maintains proper cash handling as per Food Accounting Manual.
• Orders food and supplies from approved sources.
• Directs sanitation and safety compliance in facility and with staff.
• Develops sanitation schedule and enforces cleaning of kitchen and dining areas.
