Where and how you can work

Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, with a campus in Austin, Texas, serving our US operations. You have the choice in where and how you work; we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. This role involves:

  • Owning the district sales process – leading all aspects of the sales cycle for prospect accounts, including research, outreach, technical discovery, negotiation, contracting, and handoff to Customer Success Managers.
  • Building relationships with key district stakeholders – engaging decision-makers, influencers, and champions to navigate procurement and review processes, ensuring a smooth transition to post-sale success.
  • Communicating Canva’s value – articulating the transformative impact of Canva as a classroom tool and advocating for district-wide adoption.
  • Being an ambassador for Canva for Education – representing Canva at events and online as a thought leader in K–12 edtech to grow our presence and impact in education.
  • Leveraging data to guide strategy – analyzing usage patterns and sales data to inform your approach and share emerging trends with internal teams.
  • Delivering value to customers and Canva – maintaining a healthy, strategic pipeline that supports educational transformation and outcomes aligned with district goals.

You're probably a match if

  • You have experience with the U.S. district education market – understanding classroom technology and engaging with district leaders on how Canva enhances student learning.
  • You bring proven edtech sales or purchasing expertise – confident navigating the K–12 SaaS sales process, embracing the challenge, persistence, and risk-taking it requires.
  • You collaborate with ease – working closely with your immediate team and cross-functional partners to achieve shared goals.
  • You understand how to implement new technologies – knowing how schools and districts adopt new tools and ensuring successful district-wide rollouts.
  • You’re an effective communicator – simplifying complex ideas, communicating clearly, and confidently presenting narratives to customers and teams.
  • You have strong business planning skills – moving seamlessly from strategic planning to execution, delivering high-impact results.
  • You bring thought leadership – using social media and other platforms to educate, influence, and drive awareness and engagement.
  • You have a growth mindset – always learning, growing, and having fun along the way!

About the team

After signing the agreement, they ensure a smooth transition to the Customer Success team for implementation and ongoing partnership.

Above all, our District Engagement Advocates are driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference in students' lives, helping educators deliver engaging, future-focused learning experiences that empower students with essential skills.
