Job summary

Bradford Academy is seeking a curriculum coordinator to work directly with teachers of at-risk students, helping them become proficient in reading, writing and mathematics. You will support mission alignment and collaborate with Academic Leads to uphold the academy’s vision and goals.

You will conduct progress assessments, analyze student achievement data, and develop timely interventions while coordinating with teachers to implement personalized learning plans and differentiated instruction

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with endorsements in appropriate grade and subject levels.
• Demonstrated competence as a teacher in all areas of focus.
• Able to use technology as an instructional tool in the classroom and for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Owns responsibility for achievement of students and collaborates with teachers to raise subject-area performance.
• Provides supplemental instructional support to strengthen student skills and knowledge.
• Analyzes progress data and designs timely interventions.
• Guides learning toward curriculum goals and personal learning plans.
• Works collaboratively with classroom teachers and demonstrates effective planning for instruction.
• Selects appropriate materials and adapts methods to learning styles and abilities.
• Motivates students and uses differentiated instruction to meet diverse needs.
• Uses resources effectively to support activities in school and community.
• Promotes a positive classroom climate with clear expectations and respectful interactions.
• Supports recruitment and retention efforts through community engagement.
• Participates in professional development and shares knowledge with staff.
