Job summary

Legacy Academy, part of Legacy Church, seeks motivated teachers to connect students with both academic excellence and spiritual formation. You will lead engaging lessons, communicate clearly with families, and foster a nurturing classroom that supports diverse learners.

This full-time role includes collaboration with an administrative team and opportunities to contribute to school activities and community life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Education, or in a related field with strong subject-matter expertise (Science, Math, English, or other core subjects)
• Ability to meet all state and federal requirements, including background check and fingerprinting
• Current CPR/Basic First Aid certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Create engaging and enriching learning experiences that leverage your skills and talents
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Legacy Academy’s goals and standards
• Clearly communicate assignments, expectations, and objectives to students
• Track, assess, and communicate student progress with students, parents, and administration
• Discern and respond to individual student needs with support from administration
• Establish and maintain a safe, structured, and effective learning environment
• Maintain accurate and organized records
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, students, and administration
• Actively participate in school activities and community life
• Foster a joyful, creative, and engaging classroom environment
