Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools in Georgia seeks a Chief Human Resources Officer to provide executive leadership, strategic direction, and oversight of all human resources operations. Qualifications

• Must hold GaPSC certificate or credential applicable to the position (Required).
• Georgia Educational Leadership certification (Preferred).
• Current professional HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) (Preferred).
• Bachelor's Degree required in related field; Master's preferred.
• Experience in K-12 HR leadership and compliance with Georgia education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for human resources operations and systems.
• Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, staffing, and retention strategies.
• Advise Superintendent and Cabinet on workforce matters, compliance, and policy.
• Ensure educator certification/licensure processes and personnel records are compliant.
• Partner with principals and district leaders to align HR services with school needs.
