Job summary

Hampton County School District's North District Middle School in Varnville, SC seeks an Instructional Coach to support teachers and improve student learning. The role reports to the Principal and operates under the Certified Teacher Salary Schedule.

You will collaborate with staff to develop continuous improvement aligned with district goals, establish learning objectives, and employ effective instructional strategies while maintaining records and engaging with parents.

Qualifications

• Education and experience as required by state certification authorities.
• Knowledge of district policies and classroom activities.
• Ability to develop lesson plans and materials.

Responsibilities

• Cooperates in developing a program of continuous progress aligned with District goals and objectives.
• Establishes clear and appropriate objectives for all classroom activities and communicates these objectives to students.
• Employs instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives.
• Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required.
• Plans and supervises purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) and/or volunteers and evaluates their performance.
• Maintains accurate records and communicates with parents as required.
• Upholds school rules and participates in staff development programs as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent.
