Job summary

Point Quest Group in Modesto–Stockton, CA seeks an American Sign Language Interpreter to provide interpreting and communication access services to deaf and hard-of-hearing students in K-12 settings. You will interpret in classrooms and small groups, support tutoring and daily instruction, and help students access the full curriculum with hearing peers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or CHSPE certificate required.
• RID certification or equivalent from the listed options.
• Fluency in written and spoken English essential.
• Experience supporting students and collaborating with teams helpful.

Responsibilities

• Interpret manually and orally for deaf and hard of hearing students in classroom and small-group settings.
• Prepare and collaborate with teachers on upcoming lessons to ensure access.
• Participate in IEP teams and share progress observations.
• Support daily instructional activities and maintain confidentiality.
