Job summary

Togetherhood is seeking an enthusiastic after-school instructor to teach 3D Game Design to K-12 students in NYC. You will develop and deliver age-appropriate curriculum using Unity and/or Unreal Engine, leading weekly in-person classes with energy and expertise.

You will foster a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom, track student progress, and create memorable learning experiences. This contracted, supplemental 1099 role pays $90–$120 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching school-age children.
• Strong subject matter expertise in 3D game design with Unity/Unreal.
• Ability to create age-appropriate, hands-on projects and curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Develop age-appropriate 3D Game Design curriculum for after-school students using Unity and/or Unreal Engine.
• Lead weekly in-person classes with enthusiasm and expertise where students practice coding, build immersive worlds, and design games that are fun to play and share.
• Establish a well-structured and lively classroom that keeps students engaged.
• Foster a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment for students of varying skill levels.
• Build connections with students in a warm and inclusive environment.
• Track student growth and offer positive, helpful feedback.
• Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to teach.
• Create a memorable experience for the children in your class.
