Job summary

Albert Lea High School is seeking an Assistant Coach for the Dance Team. This role supports day-to-day activities, upholds MSHSL guidelines, and reinforces program values under the direction of the Head Coach and Activities Director.

You will help motivate student-athletes, focus on skill development, and foster leadership within the team and the broader community, including partnerships with youth associations.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting in day-to-day activities for a high school dance team.
• Ability to motivate athletes in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of skill development and coaching techniques.
• Strong communication to support leadership in program and community.
• Commitment to promoting collaboration with youth groups and activities.
• Support the Head Coach and Activities Director to uphold program values.

Position Information:

• Responsible for assisting in the day to day activities for the Dance Team
• Fulfill responsibilities of an Assistant Coach in accordance with the MSHSL training and guidelines and in accordance with program values as directed by the Head Coach and Activities Director
• Previous high school coaching experience preferred
• Ability to motivate athletes in an educationally based atmosphere
• Strong knowledge and experience in skill development, communication techniques and conflict resolution
• Focus on promoting leadership in the program and community
• Partnership with youth association to develop proper skill development
• Dedication to a culture and vision that promotes furthering the benefits of co-curricular activities

Pay Rate:

• Compensation will be in accordance with Schedule Cofthe Teacher Master Agreement
